Calling all New Yorkers: meet Maison, the new members-only club for women that will open in February 2019. Maison, which will be located on the Upper East Side, will serve as a place for women to work, connect, and relax. 

Elle Decor spoke with Maison founder Ashley Wu on why the club is so much more than just a co-working space.

The new bi-level food hall will feature three bars, a stage, an exhibition space, 520 communal seats, and a rooftop area that overlooks the East River and Manhattan skyline.

For its American debut, it’s picked the former Atlantic Princess, a 1940s condominium on South Beach’s heaving Collins Avenue, to show off the distinctive blend of low-cost lodgings and grown-up style so beloved of Generator groupies.

Generator, the trendy European hostel chain that turned the idea of a youth hostel on its head, has just opened its first North American outpost on South Beach’s legendary Collins Avenue.

It’s a rare country inn that can hang a letter from Martin Luther King on its walls but the copy of that 1957 letter displayed in each of the rooms at Troutbeck gives a hint of the rich history that took place here over the decades.

Founded in London in 1995, the club landed in Manhattan’s Soho neighborhood in 2005 upon arrival in the States before recently needing a new place to call home. CCC enlisted one of their very own members, architect Marc Thorpe of Marc Thorpe Design, to design the new club, which now takes up residence at Pier 76 by the Hudson River.
