Nomad-Chic: Dispatch from Tokyo

It's been more than ten years since I last went to Tokyo and some things don't change - distinct fashion, organized chaos and fantastic food. For my parents, who went to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their meeting one another in Tokyo in 1962, it also meant reunions with old friends. And being able to afford all the great luxuries they had wished for five decades earlier.

From Shibuya to Shinjuku, Asakusa to Meguro, Omotesando to Roppongi, sushi to shabu shabu, sukiyaki to teppanyaki, our family dined on half a dozen full meals each day, hunting for architectural gems in between feasts.

I'm not sure when I'll be in Tokyo next, but it's calling back for me.”
